Alpecin-Premier Tech has announced the summer race programmes of Mathieu van der Poel and Jasper Philipsen. Both team leaders will follow a focused build-up towards the Tour de France, which gets underway on July 4.
After a strong spring campaign, during which he once again impressed in the cobbled Classics, Mathieu van der Poel is now turning his attention fully towards the summer. The former world champion will race the Tour de Suisse later this month, his only race block ahead of the Tour de France.
From July 4 onwards, Van der Poel will line up at the Grand Départ, where he will once again aim to play a key role both in the sprint train and in the hunt for stage victories.

Jasper Philipsen will also follow a clearly defined programme in the coming weeks. The Belgian sprinter returns to competition next weekend at Copenhagen Sprint. He will then also take part in the Tour de Suisse, where he aims to build race rhythm ahead of his main objective of the summer.
On June 28, Philipsen will line up at the Belgian National Road Championships in Brasschaat before travelling to Barcelona for the Grand Départ.
